Charles Harrison Littlefield, III died early Thursday morning October 23, 2003 at his home in Hampstead, NH at the age of 83. He was a son of the late Charles H. and Caroline (Jewell) Littlefield Jr. He was born on January 9, 1920 in Hampstead, NH and was a lifelong resident. Mr. Littlefield served in the US Coast Guard during World War II as a radioman first class. He was stationed along the East Coast and the Carribean Sea. He and his wife of 52 years, June (Torrey) Littlefield, sailed extensively in Maine and the Carribean before her death two years ago. He was an avid Ham Radio operator with friends all over the globe. He was a 15 years member of the Young At Heart Club at the Salem Athletic Club. He will be missed by all his friends and family.
He leaves his daughter and son-in-law Susan L. and Douglas Brickett of Hampstead, his son, Chuck Littlefield of Derry, his five grandchildren whose lives he was always active in, Eliza Keener, Emily Brickett, Zak Brickett, Charlie Littlefield, and Jeff Littlefield.
At the request of Mr. Littlefield, there will no be services held at this time. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry is handling the arrangements.
