Cahill, Richard G. of Marshfield, formerly of Hyde Park, April 25, at home surrounded by his loving family at the age of 90. Beloved husband of the late Eileen J, (McLaughlin) Cahill. Dear father of Richard J. Cahill of Marshfield, Mary Jane Cahill of Plymouth, Gregory S. Cahill ( Kathleen) of Plymouth, Robert T. Cahill (Christine) of Plymouth, Timothy G. Cahill of Marshfield, Kathleen M. Olding (Paul) of Plymouth, and Eileen C. Supple (Thomas) of Kingston. Loving grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Brother in law of Mary Drane of Braintree. Brother of the late Helen D’Arcy, Marie Duggan of West Roxbury and the late Rita Cahill.
Richard was born in Boston and lived in Marshfield since 1966. He was a retired claims investigator for the Department of Mental Health. Richard was a veteran of the US Coast Guard WW11. He was a member of the Marshfield Council on Aging drama group. Richard was an active volunteer of the Marshfield Council on Aging.
Funeral from the MacDonald Funeral Home 1755 Ocean Street, Rte 139, Marshfield Thursday April 29 at 9:00 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass in the Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Green Harbor at 10:00 a.m.
Visiting hours Wednesday 4 to 8 p.m.
Interment Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, at 12:30 p.m.
