Mrs. Elsa M. DiVito, of Medford passed away April 24th in home with her family by her side, following a lengthy illness, she was 84 years of age. She was the beloved wife of the late Ettore DiVito who passed away in January of 1996. Born in Fondi, Italy she was the daughter of the late Stefano and Filomena (Pagnano) Bianchi.
Mrs. DiVito came to the United States more than 35 years ago. Mostly devoted to her large and loving family, she enjoyed cooking for her family and caring for her home. She cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Family was everything to her and she always put their needs before her own.
In addition to her late husband, Mrs. DiVito is predeceased by her sister, the late Guiseppina Peppe, and brothers, the late Bruno and Stefano Bianchi. She is survived by her children, Stefano DiVito and his wife Raffaela of Florida, Raffaele DiVito and his wife Patricia of Medford, Mirella Sicari and her husband Gaetano of Saugus, Egeo DiVito and his wife Karen, Bruno DiVito and his wife Vidalia all of Medford, Cynthia McIrney and her husband Walter of Wilmington. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD, Wednesday, April 28th, at 8 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden, at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with entombment at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, Malden.
