Blanche R. (Lessieur) Sirois, 86, of Manchester died April 25, 2010 at Maple Leaf Healthcare Center after a period of declining health.
Born in Manchester on March 22, 1924, she was the daughter of Onesime and Marie (Blanchette) Lessieur. She attended Manchester schools and was a lifelong resident of the city.
Mrs. Sirois worked many years at the Elms Hotel and Little Frogs and Polliwogs Day Care Center.
She was a former communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Manchester and was a member of the Ladies Guild at that parish.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph R. Sirois in 1993, and by a daughter, Donna Vilagos in 1995.
IN HER LIFE: The family includes a son, Brian J. Sirois and his wife, Ann, of Hanover, PA; three grandchildren, Alexander, Matthew and Erin Sirois; two sisters, Rachel Lesniak of Manchester and Theresa Lessieur of Michigan; and nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Maple Leaf Healthcare Center for the care given to Blanche.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at St. Joseph Cathedral Chapel, Lowell Street, Manchester. Committal prayers followed at St. Augustin Cemetery Chapel, So. Beech St., Manchester.
