HAIR, Alice C., 82, of Louisville, passed away Saturday, April 24, 2010.
She was the former Alice C. Dickson of Henryville, IN and had been a teacher’s aide for Jefferson County Public Schools. She was an avid quilter and gardener. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Albert P. and Lenna Dickson; husband, Bill Hair and daughter, Martha Lynn Hair.
She is survived by her children, Jane Droste (Bill); Sue Miskimens (Homer); Beth Rich (Donald) and Chris Hair; grandchildren, Tracy McGuire (Bryan), Michael Droste (Lesa) and David Rich; 4 great grandchildren; brothers, Dr. Charles Dickson, of Austin, TX and Jimmy Dickson (Cora) of Henryville, IN; and sister Eleanor Jackson (Fred) of Virginia Beach, VA.
Alice’s family wishes to express their sincere gratitude and appreciation to her caregivers and friends, Sherry Eakins and Karen King, as well as all her caregivers at Hosparus of Louisville.
Her service will be 12 noon Wednesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with a private burial to follow. Visitation will be Tuesday 5-8pm at the funeral home.
