WORCESTER-Harold L. Harris, Jr., 83, of 16 Scenic Drive died Tuesday, October 21st suddenly in Blaire House of Worcester. He leaves his wife of 57 years, Nellie B. (Hart) Harris; a son, Harold L. Harris III of Worcester; a brother, Richard L. Harris of Worcester; 2 grandsons; 2 great granddaughters; several nephews and nieces.
He was born in Worcester on June 10, 1920, son of Harold L. and Marion E. (Klash) Harris and was a life long resident. He served as a sergeant in the army during WWII and graduated from Commerce High School, where he excelled as an outstanding athlete. Mr. Harris worked as a manager for safe deposit boxes at a local bank for many years.
The funeral will be Saturday, October 25th at 10:30 AM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A calling hour is from 9:30 until 10:30 the morning of the funeral.
