James Walter Baldree, 79, of Lenox died Saturday, April 24, 2010, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 26, 2010, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Robert Beggs will officiate with burial to follow in Tift Memorial Gardens. Tony Bruner, Andy Bruner, Edward Horton, Tim Bruner, Terry Bruner and Steven Bruner will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 25, 2010, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Baldree was born on July 14, 1930 in Berrien County and was the son of Willie Baldree and Annie Lou Walker Baldree, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Holder Baldree; one daughter, Julie Ann Samples Baldree; one sister, Fannie Horton; and two brothers, Sanford Baldree and Archie Baldree. He was retired from Griffin Ford Motor Company and was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Baldree is survived by four sons and two daughters-in-law, Shelton and Lydia Baldree of Tifton, Johnny and Karen Baldree of Tifton, Jackie Baldree of Tifton and James Baldree of Tifton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Anna Marie and Bill Turner of Tifton and Angelia and Luis Avalos of Sylvester; one brother, Homer Baldree of Tifton; one sister, Mary Lou Welch of Pavo; 10 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
