Daniel D. Daly of East Walpole, Age 61, died April 22, 2010 at the VA Medical Center in West Roxbury after a brief struggle with lung cancer. He was a 1967 Graduate of Walpole High School.
Dan owned and operated a Vacuum Sales and Repair Shop in South Norwood for several years. He was also the previous owner of the East Walpole Athletic Club (EWAC) in East Walpole.
Dan entered the Army during the Viet Nam era and served in South Korea. Dan was a lover of our great Country and was devoted to the Conservative Political movement and was a political and world history enthusiast.
Dan was the son of the late Peter F. Daly, Sr. and the late Lillian (Balduf) Daly of East Walpole. He was the brother of Peter F. Daly, Jr and his wife Martha of Foxboro, Patricia A. (Daly) Coyle of Chelmsford and Diane (Daly) Batchelder of Plymouth. He had many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews who loved him dearly. Dan also had many wonderful life long friends that he loved and admired.
His funeral service will be held on Monday, April 26 in the Ginley Funeral Home, 892 Main St. Walpole at 1:00 p.m.
Burial, next to his Father, will follow in Highland Cemetery in Norwood with full military honors.
Visiting hours will be on Sunday from 4-8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the Palliative Care Unit of the West Roxbury VA Hospital, 1400 VFW Parkway, West Roxbury, MA 02132. They were devoted to his care and assisted his family and friends with his gentle passing. A very special thanks to the Doctors and Nurses at the VA Medical Center in West Roxbury and Jamaica Plain.
