Mrs. Annie Frances Moorman, age 95, Douglas, GA, passed away at Summer’s Landing on Wednesday, April 21, 2010. Mrs. Moorman was a college professor with South Georgia College for many years and was very active in the community. She was born on May 14, 1914 to the late Thomas Alvin and Willie Jane Allgood Clower and was the widow of Guy Whitley Moorman, Sr. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the First Methodist Church with interment following in the Douglas City Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 23, 2010 at Sims Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Survivors include: sons: Dr. Guy (Jeanette) Whitley Moorman, Jr., Douglas, GA, Thomas (Danielle) William Moorman, Conyers, GA; daughter: Jane (Ron) Moorman Dennis, Charlotte, NC; 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
