Obituary

Worcester - David P. Brunelle, 53 of 195 Canterbury St. died on Wednesday October 22 in his home after an illness.

He leaves his wife of 35 years, Sharon L. (Monroe) Brunelle; a son David P. Brunelle Jr. of Ogdensburg, WI; three daughters Kimberly A. Plaud, Michele L. Reynolds and Tracy E. Lewis all of Worcester; his father Henri H. Brunelle of Webster; four brothers John J. Brunelle of Worcester, Henri H. Brunelle Jr. of Cherry Valley, Alan R. Brunelle and Gary K. Brunelle both of Charlton; three sisters Carole A. Benson and Jo-Anne Yost both of Webster and Susan C. Fearrington of Kapoli, Hawaii; 6 grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. Mr. Brunelle was born in Worcester son of the late Claire (Lacroix) Brunelle. He is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.

He worked as a review clerk for the United States Postal Service at the Distribution Center in Shrewsbury for the past 5 years. He previously worked for 25 years at the East Central Street Post Office. Mr. Brunelle was a past Vice President of the American Postal Worker's Union.

He was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Church, the Disabled American Veteran's and the Tatnuck American Legion Post.

The funeral will be held on Saturday October 25 from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home (www.Royfuneral.com) 12 Hammond St. with a mass at 9 AM in Holy Name of Jesus Church 53 Illinois St.. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are on Friday October 24 from 5 to 8 PM in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Brunelle's name to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute c/o Dr. Frank S. Hodi 44 Binney Street Boston, MA 02115.
