Obituary

Jeanne E. (Boisvert) Gagne 78, of Earle St. died Tuesday at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Gerard E. Gagne, with whom she celebrated fifty six years of marriage October 13, 2008. Mrs. Gagne was born in Woonsocket a daughter of the late Joseph and Emelda (Boisvert) Boisvert. She worked for the Woonsocket Education Department in the Lunch Program for twenty one years, at several Woonsocket elementary schools and retired fromWoonsocket High School in 1991.

Mrs. Gagne is survived by two sons, Richard Gagne of N. Smithfield, and Jean Paul Gagne of Woonsocket; six daughters Diane Powell, Claudette Jarry and her husband Denis, Michelle Cassidy and her husband Gary, all of Woonsocket, Monique Carpentier and her husband Phil, of Blackstone, Jacqueline Ehrich and her husband Dan, of Slatington, PA and Pauline St. Pierre and Luciano Canova of Cumberland; two sisters Doris Richer and Pauline Desrosiers both of Woonsocket, seventeen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter in-law, Diane Gagne, a great grand-daughter Karyssa, two brothers, Roger and Clarence Boisvert and her twin sister Jeannette Desmarais.

Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in All Saints Church, Rathbun St. Woonsocket. Burial will be held in Resurrection Cemetery in Cumberland. Visiting hours are Friday 4-8 PM.
