Long time friend of Shirley Olsen of Newton. Beloved father of Frederick L. Rowe, Jr. and his wife Denise of Nashua, NH, Thomas Rowe of Saugus, Richard Rowe and his wife Rita of Malden, Cheryl Rowe of Saugus and John Rowe of Everett. Dear brother of Ruth McGarry of Malden and the late Leon, Jr., Henry, Edward and Blanche. Cherished grandfather of Michael, Nelson, Louise, Leo and the late Stefanie. Also lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral Service in the Carroll Funeral Home, 721 Salem Street, (Maplewood Square) MALDEN on Saturday, Aprl 24th at 10 AM. Visiting Hours in the Carroll Funeral Home on Friday from 4-8 PM. Services will conclude with interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. Late WWII Navy Veteran, Past Commander of the VFW and member of the Knights of Columbus.
Born, raised and educated in Melrose, Frederick passed away at the Kindred Hospital of the North Shore after a very brief illness at the age of 82. A resident of Malden since his marriage, and residing with his son for the last year, Frederick retired from the Malden Police Department in 1984 as a Sergeant after 25 years in law enforcement.
