Obituary

Woodrow "Woody" J. Madison died April 20, 2010 at the Pleasant Valley Nursing Center in Derry, NH. Woody was born on December 3rd, 1917. He honorably served in the US Army's Signal Service Battalion. He worked over 31 years for the Department of Defense in numerous electronic capacities. He was always an avid ham radio enthusiast. His interests included motorcycling, bowling, following the Red Sox--delighting in their 2004 victory. A sweet gentle soul who loved all animals--especially "Terry" and "Harley". This is Woody at W100Q---"over and out".
Woody was the son of Nathaniel and Pauline Madison of S. Boston, brother of the late Paul Madison and husband to the late Christina Black Madison. Woody is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Marie King Madison, of Derry; beloved sister, Natalie Madison of S. Boston, MA, and many step-children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Loved by all who knew him---he will be greatly missed.
Following cremation, a memorial service was held on Friday, April 23rd at 1:30pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry.
