Blanche Dupre, 71, of Summer St., Manville, died Wednesday, April 14, 2010, at home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Roger P. Dupre. They were married on May 30, 1959.
Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Jean Marc and Rose (Morel) Lefebvre. She was raised in Woonsocket and resided in Manville for over 50 years.
Mrs. Dupre began her career with the Union St. Jean Baptiste in Woonsocket and later worked for Draper Corp. and New England Data. She was also employed by Fatima Hospital for over 10 years before retiring several years ago.
Blanche will be remembered as a loving wife and devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed taking day trips to a variety of area destinations.
In addition to her husband of 50 years, she is survived by a son, Marc P. Dupre of Cranston, two daughters, Anne-Marie Dupre of Barrington, and Jill Brouillard of Cumberland. She was the sister of Normand D. Lefebvre of Woonsocket, and the late Roland G. Lefebvre. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Nicole, Elizabeth, Matthew, Eva, Samuel and Benjamin, two nephews, and a niece.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 10:00 am in St. James Church, Division St. Manville. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Manville. Visiting hours are omitted.
