Barbara Jean Peters, age 87, of Mystic Manor passed away Saturday.
Barbara was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is predeceased by her husbands Robert W. Janda Sr. and Aaron N. Peters and her sister Meredith Arneman.
She is survived by her sisters Margaret Moum and Glenna Luca both of Lyman, South Carolina, sons, Robert W. Janda Jr of North Stonington, James E. Janda of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin and daughter Betty J. De’Viney of Bedford, New Hampshire. Barbara has seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She was active in scouting, was an avid camper, hiker, and nature enthusiast. She was also an avid ballroom dancer and world traveler.
Her family will gather for a private service.
The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff of Mystic Manor and Beacon Hospice. The love and dedication provided by them to our family has been a great comfort in our time of need.
