Romeo R. Sorel 84, of Mendon Rd, died Friday in Landmark Medical Center. He was the husband of Pilar (Munoz) Sorel. He was born in Uxbridge MA, a son of the late George and Eva Sorel.
Mr. Sorel was a WWII Army veteran and 82nd Airborn Paratrooper. He worked in several area textile mills before retiring in 1990. Besides his wife he is survived by a son George Sorel also of Woonsocket.
He was the brother of the late George Sorel and Flora Plouffe.
His funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:30 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph's Church, Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. Burial will be private.
