New Bedford – Guimar “Margie” Santos age 88 died Friday April 16, 2010 at home. She was the wife of the late Julio J. Santos. Mrs. Santos was the mother of Joseph J. Santos of New Bedford and the late Alan Santos. Grandmother of Debra Almeida and Pauline Ecoles. She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Santos was the daughter of the late Jose and Maria G. (Araujo) Gomes. She was born in New Bedford and lived in this area all of her life.
Mrs. Santos funeral will be at the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St., Wednesday at 8:30 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 9:30 A.M. Burial at St. John Cemetery. Visiting Hours are Tuesday from 5 to 8 P.M.
