Obituary

LOWELL—Joseph H. Clark, 98 years old, died Monday morning at his home after a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Madeline T. Muzykowski) Clark, who died in 1995.

He was born in Lowell, on October 14, 1905, a son of the late Thomas and Ellen (Connors) Clark. He was a longtime resident of the Belvidere section of Lowell and was a graduate of Lowell Public Schools and Lowell High School.

Mr. Clark was employed as a Sheet Metal Worker throughout his lifetime. He had been employed at the Portsmouth, NH and Chelsea Naval Shipyards, the Knowlton Company, in Newton, Symphonic, in Lowell and the Raytheon Corporation, in Andover.

He enjoyed dancing at the Chelmsford Senior Center and was an avid horseracing fan.

Surviving him are a daughter: Barbara A. Clark, of Lowell; and several nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Anna Mae Clark.

Friends may call from 4 until 8 PM ON Wednesday, October 22nd, at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith Street, (Rte. 38). His Funeral Mass to be offered Thursday morning, October 23rd, at 10 AM at ST. JOSEPH’S CHAPEL, Rogers Street, Lowell. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Tewksbury. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Chelmsford Senior Center, 75 Groton Road; Chelmsford, MA 01824.
