OBITUARY
COP – Rushmore, Paktika Province, AFGHANISTAN -
Pfc. JONATHON DAVID HALL – Fort Campbell stationed soldier and 20 plus year Anchorage, Alaska resident killed-in-action in defense of the United States, 8 APRIL 2010; at age 23 years, 6 months, and 29 days. Life Support was removed 11 April 2010 upon request of the family for vital organ removal at the US Army’s Landstuhl Regional Medical Center (LRMC), LANDSTUHL, Germany adjacent to the US Air Force’s Ramstein Air Base, Kaiserslautern, Germany.
Pfc. JONATHON DAVID HALL, Platoon Combat Medic, (better known as ‘DOC’ to his “comrades-in-arms”), was on patrol with a combat team from Alpha Co., 3rd Battalion, 187th Infantry Regiment, Third Brigade Combat Team (3BCT), 101st Airborne Division (3-187 IN; Iron Rakkasans), US ARMY; station at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. He died, while on this patrol in a MAX-Pro Mine-Resistant Ambush-Protected [MRAP] Vehicle in which he was assigned, due to complications from a massive head injury caused by an explosion of an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted by Taliban Radical Sunni Islamic terrorist insurgents in the Afghanistan ‘WAR AGAINST TERROR’. ‘DOC’ sustained a massive head injury while the other occupants were thrown about the inside of the vehicle.
Pfc. JONATHON DAVID HALL now lives through six (6) Germans who are the recipients of his heart, [19 yr old male] Munich; lungs, [15 yr old male] Munich; a kidney & pancreas, Homburg; the other kidney, Homburg; with two sharing his liver, Homburg. In addition, a number of individuals benefited from miscellaneous blood vessels, tendons, and ligaments.
JONATHON DAVID HALL was born 9 SEP 1986 at Fort Campbell Hospital, Montgomery Co., TN, USA and schooled, graduating in 2004 from New Direction School, in his home town of Anchorage, Alaska where he resided from 1988 until his death. His schooling was also supplemented at Northwest High School in Clarksville, Tenn., studying art with a passion. Jonathon was a budding artist considering a commercial artist career prior to enlisting in the US Army.
JONATHON will be greatly missed by his family especially around Thanksgiving at the annual gathering of the extended Hall Family. He looked forward to the company and deer hunting that takes place at the Hall Farm outside Clarksville, Tennessee. In addition, ‘DOC’ will be sorely missed as the ‘Go-To-Guy’ of Alpha Company.
JONATHON DAVID HALL, son, brother, friend, confidant gave all he had and all he ever hoped to have as a warrior in the ‘War Against Terrorism’; a modern day HERO, in every sense of the word, in service to his combat unit, the Army, his God and to the United States of America.
Finally, Pfc. JONATHON DAVID HALL, Hero (USA, Deceased.), continues to give through his gift of life in his vital organs donation to his fellow man. He has been recognized by the US ARMY with the following Service Awards: Bronze Star Medal, Posthumous; Purple Heart Medal, Posthumous; Army Commendation Medal; Army Achievement Medal; Army Good Conduct Medal, Posthumous; National Defense Service Medal; Afghanistan Campaign Medal w/Bronze Star; Global War on Terrorism Service Medal; Army Service Ribbon; Overseas Service Ribbon; NATO Medal, Posthumous; Combat Medical Badge, Posthumous; Weapons Qualification Badge W/Bar, Weapon: Rifle - Expert; Overseas Service Bar.

Father: Steven David Hall, Lt. Col., 176th Medical Group, AKANG, at Kulis Air National Guard Base, Anchorage, Alaska.
Mother: Robynn Kay (Priddy-Hall) Harrison of Anchorage, Alaska and Rocky Face, Whitfield Co., GA, USA.
Sister: Tristyn Elise Hall of Anchorage, Alaska and Ashland City, Cheatham Co., TN, USA.
Paternal Grandparents: Hugh Clinton Hall and Mary Madalyn (Johnson) Hall of Woodlawn, Montgomery Co., TN, USA.
Maternal Grandparents: Donald Edward Priddy, [CW5, USA, Ret.], and Janette Marie (Dawson) Priddy of Chattanooga, Hamilton Co., TN, USA
