ROCKINGHAM: Mr. Larry Wayne Hinson, 70, of 164 Mt. Olive Church Rd., Rockingham, died Thursday, April 15, 2010 in his home.
Funeral services will be held privately in Swansboro, N.C.
Larry was born in Albemarle on January 22, 1939, to the late Joseph and Myrtle Ginn Hinson. He retired from the N.C. Department of Corrections and attended Roberdell Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Larry Colt Hinson in 2000.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Hinson of the home; a daughter, Angie Hinson Long of Rockingham; a sister, Jo Burdette of Rockingham; 6 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
