WOODSTOCK - Andrew M. “Andy” Poh, 59, of Woodstock, died Tuesday, April 13, surrounded by his family at UMass/Memorial Healthcare, Worcester, after a courageous 20 month battle with cancer.
He leaves his wife of 36 years, Holly A. (Wetherell) Poh; a son, Nicholas A. Poh and his wife Danielle of Brooklyn; a daughter, Georgianna N. Poh and her fiancé Richard P. Kulasenski of Bristol; a grandson, Elijah Francis Poh; a brother, Timothy A. Poh and his wife Diane of Meredith, NH; a sister, Andrea C. Poh of Phoenix, AZ; nephews and nieces.
He was born in New York, the son of Hermann A. and Virginia C. (Gorodovich) Poh. He graduated from Goshen Central High School and earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of New Hampshire in Durham.
He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War.
Mr. Poh was the operations manager at IPL Products Ltd. in Worcester for ten years, the last sevcn of which were spent working alongside his son Nicholas. He retired in May of last year due to illness.
He enjoyed outdoor activities, golf, and family vacations at Cape Cod; he especially liked walking the beach looking for buoys. He treasured spending time with his family, particularly with his grandson Eli.
A graveside service will be held in Elmvale Cemetery at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
