Worcester – Ernest J. Gardner, 75, of Northbridge died on Tuesday, April 13 in Saint Vincent Hospital after a brief illness.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years Patricia A. (Kenney) Gardner; three children Elizabeth, Michael and Donna; his mother Elizabeth (Hewitt) Gardner of Uxbridge; three step children Dennis Lemire, Michelle Marcustry and her husband John of Douglas and Theresa Barrows and her husband Roger of Worcester; many grandchildren including Jordan-Marie Marcustry and Logen Erickson and many nephews and nieces.
Ernest was born in Uxbridge son of the late Albert Gardner and is predeceased by a son Steven and a brother John. He worked for the Robinson Thread Company as a Superintendent for 26 years until his retirement. He was an avid Red Sox Fan.
Mr. Gardner’s family wishes to thank Dr. Kevin Martin, and the staff of the ICU at Saint Vincent Hospital for the excellent care and support that was given to Ernest during his final days.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 17 at 10 AM in Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Uxbridge.
