Evelyn Irene (Godfrey) Harrison, 92 years of Pinkerton Street, Derry, New Hampshire died Friday, April 9, 2010 after a brief illness. She was born October 23, 1917, the daughter of Charles Henry and Edna Lillian Tallman Godfrey, in Rochester, New York. Mrs. Harrison moved to Derry in 1962 where she was active volunteering and participating in many causes in the community including serving as the President of the Women’s Club of Derry, as a deaconess of the Central Congregational Church of Derry, a member of the Derry Garden Club, and was one of the founding members of the New Hampshire Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. She enjoyed gardening, antiquing, exploring New England and spending time with her family. Mrs. Harrison was predeceased by her husband, William E. Harrison, a son, Siegfried Langer, a daughter, Charlene Panzarella and a grandson, Mark Langer.
She is survived by her children, Gerald C. (Nancy) Langer of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Gregory (Alicia) Panzarella of Rochester, New York, Lynn Bankowski of Nashua, Denise (Paul) Fisher, of Hinsdale, Delores (John) Sherburne of Pittsford, New York and Santo (Jan) Panzarella of Manhattan Beach, California. Her grandchildren Mary Langer, Kim (Michael Phenis) Langer, Lisa (Dennis) Jerome, Gerald (Jo) Langer, Jeffrey (Jenifer) Langer, Kristine (Marshall) Codding, Jennifer (James) Dykstra, Renee (Steven) Collins, Amy (Allgeyer) Chingros, Alison Bankowski, Blake Bankowski, Christopher Bankowski, Nathan (Sandra) Fisher, Kurt (Sheila) Fisher, Wayne Marzano, Tracy ( John) Gezelin, Patrick (Tamara) Panzarella and Andrew Panzarella, 23 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
