Salem: Irene A. (Ouellette) Breault age 98 of Salem, died Monday night at The Grosvenor Park nursing facility in Salem. She was the wife of the late Leroy Breault.
Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Napoleon and Marie Laure (Leveille) Ouellette. A graduate of St. Chretienne Academy she was a graduate of the Bentley School of Business. Irene worked as an accountant in the banking field and primarily for the former Shawmut Bank in their accounting department in Boston.
A resident of Boston for many years, she and her husband moved to Salem in 1982, shortly after their retirement.
Her passion was the flower garden she and her husband shared. Irene was also an avid walker up until very recently. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Parish of Salem.
She is survived by 2 sisters, Laura LeBlanc and her husband Gerard of Salem & Helen Bouchard of Michigan, 2 brothers, Leo Ouellette and his wife Lorraine of Chicopee & Andre Ouellette and his wife Louise of North Adams in addition to many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She also leaves her devoted friend, Joan Carrideo of Salem. She was predeceased by her sisters, Cecile LeBlanc, Rita Dubin & Annette Martineau, and her brothers, J. Richard Ouellette, Gerard P. Ouellette, G. Henry Ouellette, Paul N. Ouellette and Edward A. Ouellette.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Rt. 114 / 1-A] Salem on Friday, April 16, 2010 at 9 a.m. to be followed by her funeral mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, Hawthorne Blvd., Salem at 10 a.m.
