Dr. Ralph H. Goldstein, MD of Medford and beloved husband of the late Beverly A. (Brooks) Goldstein, passed away peacefully and surrounded by his living family, on Sunday April 11, 2010. He was 80 years old.
Born in Somerville, Massachusetts on August 6, 1929, he was the son of the late Henry and Minna (Cohen) Goldstein.
Dr. Goldstein was a decorated US Nay veteran during the Vietnam War. He entered the Navy on July 10, 1960, at Somerville and received his honorable discharge from the VA Naval Hospital in Newport Rhode Island on July 2, 1962. Dr. Goldstein was a general practitioner and general surgeon at Lawrence Memorial Hospital for many years. Dr. Goldstein was also an avid sports fan his entire life.
He will be sorley missed by his loving daughter and son-in-law; Dana G. and her husband Lenny Schaeffer of Burlington, son; Damon G. Brooks of New York City, grandson; Nathan Schaeffer of Burlington, dear friend and caretaker; Roberta Limoli-Barufaldi of Medford and many nieces and nephews. Ralph was also the brother of the late Merrill M. Goldstein.
Visiting hours were held in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford, Wednesday, April 14, 2010, from 3 to 8 PM. Many relatives and friends respectfully attended. Funeral service was omitted. A graveside service was held will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford, on Thursday, April 15, 2010, at 10 AM.
