Obituary

Providence, RI - Mary D. (Ethier) Case, 68, of Pottersville Road, Little Compton, RIdied at Rhode Island Hospital on October 20, 2003 after a long illness. She was thewidow of Herbert A. Case.

She was born in Portsmouth, RI daughter of the late Henry J. and Dorothy E.(Lucas) Ethier and was a lifelong resident of Little Compton. She attended the LittleCompton United Congregational Church. She was employed as a secretary by Case &Wilbur Bottled Gas Co., Little Compton for many years and later by SakonnetPlumbing & Heating, Little Compton until her illness.

Mrs. Case was a co-owner of Little Compton Security Patrol. She was active inCub Scouts and the Little Compton Little League.

Survivors include 4 sons: Theodore "Teddy" E. Wordell, Earl G. Wordell,Donald W. Wordell and Herbert A. Case, Jr. all of Little Compton, RI; 2 daughters:Marsha Miner of Wakefield, RI and Carolyn Smith of Lincoln, RI; 2 brothers: HoraceEthier of Portsmouth, RI and George A. Ethier of Acton, MA; 13 grandchildren; 9great-grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews.

Calling hours 4-8 P.M. on Friday, October 24, 2003.

Funeral service on Saturday, October 25, 2003 at 10:00 A.M. at theLittle Compton United Congregational Church, Little Compton, RI.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice Outreach, 502 BedfordStreet, Fall River, MA 02720 or the Little Compton Volunteer Fire Department, LittleCompton Commons, Little Compton, RI 02837.

Interment in Pleasant View Cemetery,Tiverton, RI.
