WORCESTER____Walter Parzych, 77, of Worcester, died Monday, April 12, 2010 in his home.
He leaves his wife of 57 years, Genowefa (Kurpiewski) Parzych, two sons, Edward Parzych and his wife Teresa of Quinebaug, Ct., and Andrew Parzych of Worcester; a daughter, Wieslawa Nowak of Worcester; ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, four nieces and one nephew. He was predeceased by a daughter, Bozena and two sisters, Zofia Parzych and Henrika Grzyb. He was born in Zbojna, Poland, a son of Wladislaw and Stanislawa (Kaluszewska) Parzych and has lived here since 1966.
Mr. Parzych was a wire drawer many years for Johnson Steel & Wire Co. He retired several years ago. Previously, he worked for the Chicago Dressed Beef Co. He was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church and a former member of the Polish National Alliance Club.
The funeral will be held on Friday, April 16 from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward Street, with a Mass at 10:30 A.M. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward Street. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home are Thursday, April 15 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M.
