Ellen Patete 45, of Franklin, died Saturday April 10, 2010 at Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston, following a brief illness.
Born in Norwood, August 10, 1964 a daughter of Rudolph J. “Rudy” Patete of Franklin, and the late Elaine L. Rizoli she was a lifelong Franklin resident. She was a graduate of Franklin High School, and received her Master’s Degree in Education from Lesley College.
Ellen was employed as the assistant director at Just-A-Wee Day Care in Ashland, where she worked for more than 20 years. She loved children, reading, travel and music.
Surviving in addition to her father is her brother John D. Patete and his wife Eileen of Bellingham, 2 nieces; Adrianna Kelly of Maine, Adeline Patete of Bellingham, and a nephew Rudy Patete of Bellingham. Also surviving are aunts, uncles, and many friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Saturday April 17th, at 9:15AM from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. www.franklinfuneral.com, with a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church 1 Church Sq. at 10AM.
Interment will be held privately.
Calling hours are Friday from 5-8PM. The family requests that in keeping with Ellen’s lifestyle, visitors wear casual clothing.
