Edward T. Conley, 84, of Winchester, passed away April 13, 2010. Born, raised and educated in Boston, he was the son of the late Joseph A. and Mary (Wright) Conley. Mr. Conley served as a Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps. during WWII, and subsequently attended Northeastern University. He was employed as a plumber with Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 12. A 54-year resident of Winchester, Ed was active in the community as a member of Town Meeting where he assisted with the Recreation Dept. In his spare time, he also volunteered at the New England Rehabilitation Hospital in Woburn. Mr. Conley was the beloved husband of Louise F. (Huckins) and the loving father of Brian Conley and Patricia A. Conley, both of Winchester, Kathleen Conley Norbut of Monson, MA, Kevin Conley of Weston, Eileen Cabrera of Salem and Timothy Conley of Marblehead. He was also the dear brother of the late Daniel Conley and is also survived by 9 grandchildren. His funeral will be held from the Costello Funeral Home 177 Washington St. Winchester on Sat. April 17 @ 9AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church 155 Washington St., Winchester at 10AM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting Hours will be held in the funeral home on Fri. 4-8PM. Interment is private.
