Agnes L. (Thibeault) (Murphy) Gordon, 85 years, of Brockton, died April 11, 2010 following a period of failing health. She was born, raised and educated in Brockton, daughter of the late Dello and Mary (Cormier) Thibeault. Agnes was a lifelong patron of the Brockton Fair, enjoyed crafts, especially hand stitching clothing for dolls and working with jewelry. She was a lifetime member of St. Jude, former member of TOPS and on week-ends enjoyed attending and working at local flea markets.
Agnes is survived by her children Agnes Fallon and her friend Ben Bonilla of Brockton, Joan Murphy and her friend Rene Burnham of Georgia, Donald Murphy and his wife Pam of Braintree, Hazel “Lulu” Gray of Brockton, Susan O’Brien of Braintree, Cynthia Prescott of Brockton and Timothy Murphy and his wife JoAnne of New Hampshire. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and one great grandchild, a brother Edward Thibeault and his wife Anne of Brockton and many nieces and nephews. She was the wife of the late William Gordon; mother of the late Charles Murphy and Frederick Murphy and sister of the late George, John and Mary Thibeault and Rosie Hudson.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Thursday at 8am. Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Parish at 9am. Burial in Melrose Cemetery.
