Annie Belle Hill Harris, 78, of Tifton died Monday, April 12, 2010, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 15, 2010, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Gary Cadwell, Rev. Steve Tucker and Rev. Gerald Purvis will officiate with burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Terry Nichols, Ricky Fletcher, Jim Graham, Ricky Dean, Mark Dean and Shane Stone will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 14, 2010, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Harris was born on March 26, 1932 in Chula and was the daughter of James Wiley Hill and Mary Louise Junkins Hill, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by one brother, James Arthur Hill; and two sisters, Carolyn Elizabeth Hill Branch and Mildred Louise Hill Phillips. She was retired from J. P. Stephens and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.
Mrs. Harris is survived by her husband of 32 years, James F. Harris of Tifton; two daughters and one son-in-law, Dottie and Tom Edge of Athens and Karen Lobeda of Ocilla; five grandchildren and their spouses, Michele and Michael Bone, Melissa and Tommy Bone, James Scarberry, Jennifer Boatner and Kevin Boatner; 14 great grandchildren, Morgan Bone, McKenzie Bone, Maggie Bone, Mollie Frances Bone, Cody Bone, Grant Bone, Anna Bone, Will Boatner, Abby Boatner, Tyler Scarberry, Tristion Scarberry, Jacob Scarberry, Nathan Boatner and Eli Boatner; and several nieces and nephews.
