Obituary

Methuen, MA- Pauline J. (Pelletier) Dawe, 77, lifelong resident of Methuen, died Friday, April 9th,2010 at the Lawrence General hospital surrounded by her family, after a long and courageous fight with cancer.
Pauline was born in Methuen on November 4th, 1932, the daughter of Francis and Eva (Ouellette) Pelletier. Educated in Methuen Schools, she was a graduate of St. Theresa’s High School Class of ‘1950.
For more than 25 years, Pauline worked as a Supervisor at the IRS in Andover.
Pauline was a communicant of Our Lady of Good Counsel/ St. Theresa’s Church in Methuen as well as a former member of the Lady’s Sodality at St. Anne’s Church in Lawrence. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and especially baking and cooking for family, friends and their animals. She would bake cookies and knit Afghans or sweaters for her children and grandchildren who meant so much to her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
The widow of the late George A. Dawe, Jr., Pauline is survived by her four children, Thomas Dawe and his wife Catherine of Ohio; Kathryn E. Dawe and her partner Donna Andersen of Newburyport; James Dawe and his wife Kathleen of Methuen; and Kristine McAloon and her husband Andrew of Methuen. She is also survived by three sisters Mary Gaudette of Methuen; Sr. Claire Pelletier S.C.I.M and Sr. Theresa Pelletier S.C.I.M of Maine; brother, Richard Pelletier of Salem, NH; 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. She was pre-deceased by her brothers; Gerard, Robert, Raymond, Laurence and Charles Pelletier and her sister, Sr. Bernadette Pelletier S.C.I.M.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and Friends may pay their respects on Monday April 12th from 4-8 at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence, St, in Methuen. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday April 13th at Our Lady of Good Counsel/ St. Theresa’s Church in Methuen at 9 AM with burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made in Pauline’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
