Esther Burstein (Levine) of Revere and formerly of Chelsea died on April 10, 2010. She was 87 years old.
Esther was born in Scranton, PA and spent most of her life in Chelsea and Revere. She was educated in the Chelsea and Revere schools and graduated from Revere High School, Class of 1940. Esther was a retired bookkeeper for the Chelsea Memorial Hospital. Esther was active in her community as a member of Pioneer Women, a Chelsea Hebrew School Pianist, a member of the Jack Satter House Tenant’s Association and a den mother for the Cub Scouts.
Esther was the devoted mother of Paul Burstein and his wife Dotty and Nadine Hubbell and her husband Jim. She was the loving grandmother of Rachel Burstein and her husband Jeremy Schifeling and Will Burstein.
Services at the Torf Funeral Chapel, 151 Washington Ave. (Cary Sq.) Chelsea on Tuesday, April 13th at 1:30 PM. Interment in Everett. Memorial observance at the Jack Satter House, 420 Revere Beach Blvd., Revere immediately following the interment and on Wednesday at the home of Paul and Dotty Burstein from 7-9 PM. Contributions in Esther’s memory may be made to the Jack Satter House Tenant’s Association, 420 Revere Beach Blvd., Revere, MA 02151.
