Jacqueline A. (Plaud) Corvello, 64, of New Bedford, died Friday, April 9, 2010 following a battle with cancer. She was the widow of Roderick F. Corvello and the daughter of the late Eugene and Jeannette (Gallant) Plaud.
Jackie was an extremely artistic individual who took great pleasure in the fine arts, in good music, and in good humor. Throughout her life she took great interest in painting and in photography. Her most memorable adventure was her trip to Africa. She was well known in the area as the proud owner and picture framer at The Framemaker in Dartmouth, a business she created with her late husband, Rick, over 30 years ago.
Jackie was a loving mother who leaves behind her daughter, Julie Barcelos and her husband Jorge of Dartmouth, her beloved son Andrew Corvello and her step-daughter, Debra Corvello both of Dartmouth, three grandchildren, Lizzy Phenix of Dartmouth, Roderick Corvello of California, and Dean Weber of Florida. She also leaves behind a sister, Michelle Plaud of Newport and a brother, Eugene Plaud of Dartmouth; several cousins, and many dear friends.
She was the sister of the late Diane (Plaud) Moloney.
On her behalf, Jackie’s family would like to thank all of the wonderful people that have been involved in her care which includes the staff at Southcoast Hospice and the New Bedford Jewish Convalescent Home. There aren’t enough words to describe the warmth and compassion we all received from you in this difficult time. At her request, Jacqueline’s life will be celebrated with a private gathering of family and friends.
