Gordon M. Robertson, Sr., 78…W.W. II Navy Veteran, of Tewksbury…TEWKSBURY: Gordon M. Robertson, Sr. age 78, a resident of Tewksbury for over 30 years, died Saturday, October 18, 2003 at the Winchester Hospital.

He was born in the Dorchester section of Boston on September 26, 1925, the son of the late Harold and Irene (Walder) Robertson.

Mr. Robertson attended Dorchester schools.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was stationed aboard the U.S.S. Concord.

Prior to his retirement in 1987, he was employed as a truck driver for the Rohtstein Trucking Company of Woburn. Mr. Robertson previously worked for the Buttrick Mill Company.

He enjoyed woodworking, caring for tropical fish and in earlier years, deer hunting.

Mr. Robertson is survived by 4 daughters; Judith C. Abernethy of Londonderry, NH, Elaine S. Gillis of Framingham, Cheryle A. Kight and her husband Douglas of Chicago, IL and Lori K. Robertson of Sudbury; 2 sons; Gordon M. Robertson, Jr. of Tewksbury and Michael G. Robertson of Braintree; 11 Grandchildren; Josh Gillis, Rene Robertson, Scott Abernethy, Trevor, Jordyn, Austin, Molly, and Zoe Kight, Charndra, Deron and Lane Zambruno; 1 great grandson; Jacob Gillis. Mr. Robertson was the brother of the late Paul Robertson. At the request of the family services are private. Arrangements entrusted to the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury.
