Mrs. Irene P. Ramos, age 68, of Nashua, NH formerly of Woburn and Wilmington passed away April 8th, at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston following a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of Paul S. Ramos and together they shared more than 47 years of marriage. Born on February 28, 1942, she was the daughter of the late John and Helena (Smith) Flynn.
Mrs. Ramos lived the majority of her life in Wilmington where she was raised and educated. She was a graduate of Wilmington High School with the class of 1960. Mostly devoted to her large and loving family, she enjoyed cooking and always looked forward to family get together and celebrating the holidays and special family events. Always the consummate cook, she would never let any family function be catered, she would often start preparing delicious homemade food many days in advance. Irene was a generous and giving person that always put the needs of others before her own needs. No one ever left her home feeling hungry. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and making sure they had what they needed. In her leisure time she also loved to be by the ocean with her family and friends.
In addition to her late parents, Irene is preceded in death by three sisters, Dorothy Fournier, Joanne Neary, Marguerite Flynn, and five brothers, William, James, Charles, Patrick and John Flynn. She is survived by her beloved husband, Paul S. Ramos and their children, Paul of Raymond, NH, Craig of Chelmsford, Glen of Reading, Kimberly of Brookline, Caroline of Denver, CO and Joseph Ramos of Dallas, TX. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Annmarie, Sebastian, Paul, Olivia, Maximus, Ella and Nevaeh. She is further survived by her sisters, Kathleen McGondel of Freemont, NH and Mildred O'Keefe of Wilmington and many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 374 Main St., WILMINGTON Tuesday, April 13th, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Anthony Church, 851 Main St., Woburn, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Dello Russo Funeral Home will be on Monday from 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington.
