Janice Story Davis, 71, of Tifton died Thursday, April 8, 2010, at Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 11, 2010, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. John Cone will officiate with burial to follow in Baker Cemetery. Nephews and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Saturday, April, 10, 2010, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Davis was born on March 3, 1939 in Louisville, GA and was the daughter of Harrison Story and Ethel Faglier Story, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Loyd Harold Davis; one daughter, Mary Davis; and one sister, Dolly Fountain. She was a homemaker and a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Mrs. Davis is survived by four sons, Randy Davis of Tifton, Johnny Davis of Tifton, Harold Davis of Wrightsboro and David Davis of Omega; one daughter, Donna Davis of Omega; four brothers, Doyle Story of Oak Park, Wayne Story of Bartow, Harrison T. Story of Wadley and Ronnie Story of Louisville; five sisters, Virginia Utley of Gough, Barbara Cowart of Bartow, Linda Poole of Louisville, Patricia Hadden of Wadley and Edna Bragg of Swainsboro; ten grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.
