TEWKSBURY - Katherine E. (Backoff)(Mraz) Moulton, age 84, a resident of Tewksbury for more than 50 years, died Thursday morning, April 8, at Saints Medical Center in Lowell following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Joseph Mraz, who died in 1991, and later, Francis Moulton who died in 1994.
She was born in Lowell, September 10, 1925, a daughter of the late John and Catherine (Crowley) Backoff, and raised in Lowell. She moved to Tewksbury in 1954, where she was an active member of St. William's Parish family.
She worked in electronic assembly for Sylvania in Lowell, Wang in Tewksbury, and Agfa-Compugraphic in Wilmington.
She also was Past Commander of the Tewksbury Disabled American Veterans, Post 110.
She is survived by four children, Kathleen F. Turner and her husband John of Uxbridge, MA, Joseph J. Mraz Jr., and his wife Sandra of Dracut, Beverly A. Ingemi and her husband Richard of Methuen, Patricia Mraz and her partner Janet Mellot of Redondo Beach, CA; four grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and one great great grandson; several nieces and nephews; and was sister of the late Theresa Sullivan.
