Colin T. "Terry" McGrath, 76, of Rochester died April 8, 2010 peacefully at home surrounded by his family.
He was the husband of the late Mary Lynne (Cento) McGrath.
Born and raised in New Bedford, the son of the late John A. McGrath and Jeannette (Demers) McGrath-Matthews, he lived in Mattapoisett and Rochester most of his life.
Mr. McGrath was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church.
He was formerly employed as a salesman with Continental Screw later opening Terry's Sport Shop in New Bedford before retiring as a salesman in the printing industry.
Mr. McGrath was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
Survivors include a son, John McGrath of Rochester; 3 daughters, Kelly Johnson and her husband James of Mattapoisett, Tracy McGrath and her spouse Anne-Margaret of Tiverton, RI and Laurie Buler and her husband George of Rochester; a sister, Marilyn Blackmore of South Windsor, CT; 8 grandchildren, Jack, Natalie, Katie, Kyle, Cameron, Tim, Jillian and Ryan and his wife Stephanie; a great-grandson, Gunner; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home For Funerals, 50 County Rd. (Rt. 6) Mattapoisett Monday, April 12th at 9 AM. Funeral Mass at St. Rose of Lima Church at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Center Cemetery, Rochester. Visiting hours Sunday, April 11th from 4-7 PM.
