Obituary

Leonard Ginsburg, 87 of Newton and formerly of Revere passed away on April 1, 2010 at the Wingate at Brighton nursing home. He was born in Boston and resided in Revere for many years. Leonard was educated in the Revere school systems and was a graduate of Revere High School. He was also a graduate of Northeastern University. Leonard was a legislative assistant for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Leonard was an assessor for the city of Revere. He was a Revere city councilman and acting mayor of Revere. Leonard was a WWII army veteran. He was a member of the Elks club, the Moose club and the Jewish War Veterans (Prince Strauss Post of Revere).

Leonard was the beloved husband of the late Josephine (Bornstein) Ginsburg. He was the devoted father of Richard Ginsburg and his wife Rosario of Seville, Spain. Leonard was the loving grandfather of Julia and Isabel.

Graveside services will be held at the Pride of Boston Cemetery, Washington St., Woburn on Sunday, April 4, 2010 at 9:00 AM. Memorial observance will be held at the home of Harvey and Debra Epstein following the interment. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Social Activities Program at Evans Park at Newton Corner 430 Centre St. Newton, MA 02458.
