Bernard F. Dick, 87, of Manchester, NH, died Monday, April 5, 2010 in the Courville at Manchester. Mr. Dick was born in Derry, NH on February 23, 1923, a son of the late Benjamin and Sybil (Johnson) Dick. He was a resident of Manchester since 2008, formerly living in Londonderry, NH for over 40 years, and Derry. Mr. Dick was a WWII Coast Guard veteran. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and fly tyer and was a member of the Londonderry Fish and Game Club. Mr. Dick was well known for having a meticulously cared for yard and home. His greatest joy was spending time with his great grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Jeannette Dick of Manchester, one daughter, Cheryl Barnes of Palm Beach, FL; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one sister, Doris Nickerson of Londonderry; his daughter-in-law, Kathy Williams and husband Dean of Manchester. He was predeceased by one son, Wayne B. Dick in 1978, and his brothers, Alfred Dick, Albert Dick, and Leon Dick.
There are no calling hours. Following cremation, a private memorial service were held in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. The burial was in the Forest Hill Cemetery in E. Derry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Donor Services, P.O.
