Neta D. (Field) Henderson, beloved wife of 64 years to Francis E. Henderson, passed away Sunday April 4, 2010 at the Epoch of Norton nursing facility. She was 87 years old. She was the daughter the late Stephen D. and Annie (Johnston) Field.
Formerly of Stoughton, MA and Stockholm, ME. she graduated from Ricker Jr. Collegein ME. She was a retired office administrator for the former, family owned business,Francis E. Henderson CPA of Stoughton, MA, retiring in 2003.
She was a past member of the Stoughton Women’s Club, and a member and Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star. She attended the First United Methodist Church of Stoughton.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters and one son, Frances Schwartz and her husband Robert of Sharon, MA. Jacqueline Hines and her husband Ralph of Holliston, MA, Vivian Teague and her husband James of Norfolk, MA. and Ross Henderson and his wife Susan of Stoughton, MA. She is also survived by 8 grand-children and 8 great-grandchildren. She was also the sister of Norma Raymond ofStoughton and the late Delbert Field and Patricia Donna.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday April 7, 2010 from 4pm. to 7pm. in the Sheehan Funeral Home, 115 Monk Street, (off Rte. 138 @ the Webster Bank), Stoughton. ( Order of the Eastern Star service will be held at 6:30 P.M. ) Her funeral Service will be held in the Sheehan Funeral Home on Thursday April 8 , 2010 at 11:15 A.M. The Rev. Scott Cousineau, officiating. Burial will be private at the MA Veterans National Cemetery in Bourne.
