Sutton- Genevieve H. (Czyryca) Debs, 88, formerly of 113 Putnam Hill Rd., died Tuesday, Oct. 14, in Christopher House, Worcester.
Her husband of 50 years, Abraham R. Debs, died in 1994. She leaves a daughter, Barbara J. Debs of Sutton; a sister, Jane Mendys of Worcester; nephews and nieces. A brother, Edward Czyryca, predeceased her. Two sisters, Stella Kuczynski and Bernice Leniek, also predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Anthony and Helen (Rewlinowicz) Czyryca, and was raised by her father and step-mother, Caroline (Sawicki) Czyryca.
She graduated from St. Mary’s High School, Worcester.
Mrs. Debs worked at Phalo Plastics Co. for 20 years, before retiring.
She was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish, Worcester.
The funeral will be held Monday, Oct. 20, from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., Worcester, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St., Worcester. Burial will be in New Howard Cemetery. Calling hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19, in the funeral home.
