Hallie U Ripley, 87, of Peoria passed away at 8:50am Saturday April 3, 2010 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
She was born on March 4, 1923 in Cobden, IL the daughter of William A and Minnie B. Marks Nance. She married Charles A. Linton on January 31, 1942. He passed away on May 18, 1947. She later married Ogle Ripley on August 7, 1950 in Pickett AR.
Surviving is her husband as well as her children Charles W. (Brenda) Linton of Manito, Dennis (Connie) Ripley of Canton, Danny (Joyce) Ripley of South Pekin, Janet (Steve) Meyer of Bay View Gardens and Paula (Richard) Burger of Washington. She is further survived by 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter.
She was a member of New Beginnings Baptist Church in Bay View Gardens. She was a Sunday School Teacher and Vacation Bible School Teacher in various churches in the Peoria area. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother and an amazing wife for almost 60 years to Ogle and will be greatly missed.
Services will be 11am Wednesday Apr. 7th at New Beginnings Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Walden officiating. Visitation will be from 5pm until 7pm Tuesday at Mason Funeral Home Germantown Hills Chapel. Burial will be in Spring Bay Cemetery in Spring Bay.
