Obituary

Anne (Antonelli) Giannelli, of Peabody, formerly of Medford, died Saturday evening at Salem Hospital. She was 96.

Mrs. Giannelli was born and raised in Boston’s North End, the daughter of the late David and the late Albina (Simonelli) Antonelli. A Medford resident for more than 50 years before moving to Brooksby Village several years ago, Anne was devoted to her family and friends. Though she had no children of her own, she loved children and had the greatest affection for her nieces and nephews. She was devoted to her husband Joseph and the two enjoyed traveling and spending many winters in Florida.

She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph M. Giannelli. She was a devoted sister of the late Helen Narus, Theresa Benevides, Harry Antonelli and Louis Antonelli. She was a devoted sister-in-law of Margaret and Connie Antonelli and is also lovingly survived by many devoted nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Wednesday, April 7th, at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden, at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit at the funeral home from 9-10 Wednesday morning. Services will conclude with entombment at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Anne's name to the Alzheimer's Association, 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
