Dorothy Skerry, a life-long Medford resident, died Friday at home in the company of her loving family. She was 92. Raised in Medford, Dorothy was the daughter of the late Albert and the late Sophie (Landry) Bennett. One of seven children, She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
The beloved wife of the late Hon. Patrick J. Skerry, she is survived by her children: Judy Moniz and her husband James, David P. Skerry and his late wife Kathleen, Patti Hickey and her husband Phil all of Medford. She also leaves her grandchildren: James and Christopher Moniz, Patrick, John and Brian Skerry, and John Hickey, her great grandchildren: Hunter and Torrey Moniz, Ryan and Owen Skerry and last sibling Charles Bennett of Conn.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Wednesday April 7th at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 4 - 8. Her burial will be private.
