Norman F. Days, 83, of New Bedford died Tuesday March 30, 2010 at the New Bedford Jewish Convalescent Home.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Joseph H. and Caroline J. (McAfee) Days, he lived in New Bedford for all of his life.
He was a member of the North Baptist Church.
Mr. Days was formerly employed as a truck driver for the City of New Bedford Sanitation Department until his retirement.
He was a member of A.F.S.C.M.E. He was animal lover and was especially fond of his basset hound grand-dogs.
Survivors include a daughter, Priscilla G. Nutter and her husband Dennis of New Bedford; two grandchildren, Jeffrey G. Nutter and his wife Risa, and Amy B. Nutter; a great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn E. King.; and his former wife and close friend, Natalie D. Mendes.
His Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 10 AM at the North Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Friday from 4-7 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. For directions and guestbook, please visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
