Jalynn Mae Carter Auwae Butzin July 7, 1940 – March 8, 2010

Jalynn Mae Carter Auwae Butzin of Dixon, California passed into eternal life to be with her heavenly father on Monday, March 8, 2010.

Jalynn was born on July 7, 1940 in Louisville, KY to James Edward Carter and Juanita Louise Kircher.

She married Rodney A. Auwae on August 12, 1960 in Louisville, KY. As a military family, they lived in Tachikawa, Futchu, Japan; Incirlik, Adona, Turkey; South Carolina, Maryland, California, and Maui, Hawaii.

They retired to Hawaii in 1978. They had three children Kimberly A. H. Auwae of Vacaville, California; Kevin K. Auwae (Maria) of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Kelly K. McAllister (Vince) of Vacaville. Jalynn later married Brian E. Butzin on August 15, 1981. They lived in Hawaii and later moved to Dixon, CA to be near family. She is also survived by David B. Butzin of Claremont, and Marlene D. Butzin of Stanton, CA.

Jalynn is also survived by her loving husband of 30 years Brian E. Butzin also of Dixon; sister, Dana Garrison (Jim) of Louisville, KY; her brother, James Carter of Georgetown, IN; seven grandchildren: Kehaulani, Melemaikalani, and Lei’opualani McAllister; Daniel, Noelani and Nathanial Auwae; Brandon Avila, Mardi and Christian Butzin and a host of relatives in Kentucky.

Jalynn had a successful career with Prudential Realty of California-Vacaville office. She won many awards during her career. Her designations included recognition as a “Top Producer”, the prestigious designations of Accredited Buyers Representative
(ABR), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), and Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI).
She was a giving wife, mother and “Tutu Nene” to her adoring grandchildren. She was loved by all who knew her including her Prudential friends and her Bible Study Class with Pastor George Abernathy. She loved reading, making jewelry, traveling the world, spending time with her family and enjoyed antique hunting trips in Kentucky.

Visitation will be Friday, April 2, 2010 from 1:00 pm with a Celebration of Life at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at St. Stephens Cemetery in Louisville.
