Obituary

Holman of Kissimmee, FL. formerly of East Bridgewater, October 14, 2003, Robert F. Holman, 78 years. Husband of Shirley M. (Welch) Holman. Father of Dennis of Brandon, VT; David of Kissimmee, FL; and Steven of Middleboro and Suzanne Rose of Kissimmee, FL. Also survived by 6 grandchildren.

Memorial visitation at J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Saturday 9 to 10 am. Graveside Service at Melrose Cemetery at 10:30 am. Donations in Robert’s memory may be made to Old Colony Hospice, 14 Page Terrace, Stoughton, MA 02072.

Obituary

Mr. Holman died Tuesday evening after a brief illness. Born in E. Bridgewater, son of the late Wilder F. and Rose (Marquis) Holman. Graduate of E. Bridgewater High School and also attended Northeastern University. Resident of Kissimmee, Florida for the past four years, previously lived in E. Bridgewater. Retired from F.B. Washburn Company in Brockton after 25 years.

During WW II he served in the US Navy in the European Theatre and during Korean Conflict he was a pilot in the US Marine Corps Air Force.

He enjoyed watching ice hockey and gardening at his home in Florida and also enjoyed traveling.

Life member of the Commercial Club in East Bridgewater.

Survived by his wife of 50 years, Shirley M. (Welch) Holman, three sons, Dennis Holman of Brandon, VT, David Holman of Kissimmee, FL and Steven Holman of Middleboro, MA, a daughter Suzanne Rose of Kissimmee, Florida, six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Brother of the late Wilder F. Holman, Jr., Herbert Holman, George Holman and Ruth Robideau
