Whitman – Mildred (Marsden) Piccuito 90, died Monday March 29 after a period of failing health.
Born and raised in Taunton she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Hattie (Pierce) Marsden and a graduate of Taunton High.
Mildred had been a resident of Halifax before her move to Whitman over 20 years ago, and had worked as an inspector for the Foxboro Company for over 15 years retiring at the age of 70.
She loved music and was an avid reader.
She is survived by her loving daughter Joyce Cashman of Whitman, her sisters Muriel Machnik and Phyllis Reichenberg and her husband Kenneth all of Taunton. She is also survived by her grandsons Thomas and Jeffrey Cashman, her great grandchildren Matthew, Brady, Bennett and Brooke Cashman as well as several nephews. She leaves behind her very dear friend Seleste Pechonis. She was the mother of the late William Burns and sister of the late Merle & Raymond Marsden and Louise Bernard.
Her funeral service will be held Friday April 2 at 10 AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman. Burial will follow in the St. James Cemetery, Whitman. Visiting hours will be held Thursday April 1 from 4-7 PM. Donations in her name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association 311 Arsenal Street Watertown, MA 02472 of to the Charity of One’s Choice.
